We are true to our word when we say that everything we do meets strict criteria as substantiated in best practice certifications.

- We have applied solar film to 5000m2, thus reducing energy consumption by 12.3% per year. - We have applied polyurea to 6700m2 of roofing, thus making it waterproof and UV ray-resistant.
- We have installed 962 photovoltaic panels over an area of 6,700 m2, which produce an annual average of 680Mwh, the energy equivalent of powering more than 200 homes.
With this we have achieved a reduction of:
30% per year on energy purchase;
670 tonnes of CO2/year.
- At Vila do Conde Porto Fashion Outlets we exclusively use LED lights and all the corridors and technical areas have presence detection sensors. Ducts with model grilles have also been installed to make the air conditioning more efficient and cost-effective.

We have installed all over the shopping center :
Low-flow taps;
Dual flush cisterns;
Low-flow urinals;
Low-flow shower heads;
Smart irrigation with weather control (borehole + drinking water)
Solenoid valves in all toilets to control leaks and avoid wasting water.

We are committed to reducing and recovering waste because we believe that making something new out of what already exists is the beginning of positive change and a more sustainable future.
We manage **100% of our waste, 77% of which is recyclable and 33% of which is used to produce energy ** (burning).
Our 10-year partnership with Veolia has enabled us to collect more than 10,000 tonnes of waste for recycling and energy recovery.
7,260 tonnes of waste have been recycled and more than 3,000 tonnes have been sent for energy recovery.
In the last two years alone it has been possible to go from a recycling rate of 60 per cent to over 75 per cent and a new sorting room has been created to recover more waste.

BATS
All bat species are protected species in Portugal. A study carried out independently has concluded that this shopping center is 1.3 kilometres away from a protected area for these species. We have installed 4 shelter boxes, which will allow us to create and monitor ideal habitat conditions.
GREENHOUSE
To ensure that our plants are always healthy and well cared for, we have a greenhouse where plants are not only reproduced but also taken good care of.

METRO/TUBE
The VC Fashion Outlet-Modivas tube station not only offers a convenient way to get to our shopping center, but also contributes to reducing road traffic and to a more sustainable experience. This project is the result of a joint investment between our shopping centre and Metro do Porto.
Electric scooter charging points
We have 16 charging points for electric scooters, making it easier than ever to enjoy a visit to our centre while contributing to a cleaner, greener environment.
